The Hunting Pleasure team has partnered for a number of years with small game high density territories in Romania. The most beautiful and most experienced regions are all located in the Western part of the country, close to the Hungarian border.
These territories manage highly populated areas of small game. The environment, mixed by agricultural lands, plains and hedges allows to maintain a perfect animal management.
Between the towns of Oradea and Arad, we will propose you the most fitting territory for your group.
Your own hounds are welcome, otherwise our guides’ are experts.
Starting at €850 for 3 days – 4 nights
Our pricing includes organization, accommodation, meals, licenses, insurance, etc… shooting taxes are to be payed at the end of the trip.
You will pay only for what you have shot!
Our trips are “A la Carte” following your availabilities and wishes.
From 2 to 4 or 5 days of hunt.
Day 1: Arrival by personal vehicle or plane (Budapest – Hungary or Timisoara – Romania). We will be waiting for you at the airport. Transfer, dinner and night at your accommodation located in proximity to the hunting grounds.
Hunting Days: 7AM breakfast, transfer to the hunting grounds, all-day hunt with lunch break.
You will be walking in plains, slowly, with local organizers and their hounds. One local and his hound for two hunters allow to catch any wounded game. You will also discuss your wishes for the day with our local organizers: if you are more interested in hare rough hunting, or pheasants with hounds…. You decide on how the day goes following what you desire.
End of the day, final results. Back to the accommodation.
Last day: After breakfast, departure with personal vehicles or transfer to the airport.
Hunting Pleasure will make you rough hunt hares, wild pheasants (only males), few partridges but only on selected territories as well as ducks at the end of the day.
Depending on your number of hunters and their dexterity, daily results vary between 4 to 6 hares and 2 to 3 pheasants per hunter.
Followers are welcome. They will be able to accompany hunters, enjoy from the Romanian countryside and if wanted visit downtown Oradea and Arad.
We will be choosing your accommodation with you personally. 4-star hotel, private hotel for your group, guest-houses… All of our partners are located in proximity to the hunting territories.
Transportation between accommodation and hunt is included!
Full pension (except beverages) for the whole trip including the lunch break during the hunt.
The region offers a few attractions: downtown Oradea or Arad with its old medieval architecture and buildings…
Our hunters come back regularly. This is a real reference. It is true that rough hunting hare has become a priviledge.
The country is within the European Union for more than a decade however it is not part of the Schengen Area. You will then need a valid passport and an invitation letter (which we will provide) in order to go through the border and import your firearm.
Nature is still very wild and the Carpathian mountains are gorgeous.
Local currency is the Romanian Lei.
Firearm importation is relatively easy in Romania. Only a few minutes are required at the border with your passport and invitation letter. 300 rounds/shells max allowed per gun. However, we always have firearms on location as well (typical Eastern European 12 caliber).
Shells/rounds available on location as well.
Equipment-wise, bear in mind you will be walking on plains all day long. Mostly nice weather (continental) mid-November and early-December. However prepare all type of clothing…Vehicles will follow you during the hunt and you will be able to store gear or change.
By car, approximately 1600 kms from Western Europe. Only highways except for the last few kilometers.
By plane, you will have the choice between two airports: Budapest in Hungary (mostly without any transfer if from Europe) or Timisoara in Romania (transfer mandatory). We will be waiting for you at the airport.
No real interest for this kind of trip. However if you do come by car you will be able to return home with game meat!
