Your hunting location
For 15 years, Hunting Pleasure has selected a dozen of very promising territories. Two locations stand above the others: the South and East of Hungary. With plains, agricultural lands, hares are present in incredible numbers.
Our territories manage the different animals on big surfaces. (average 20,000 acres).
Hunting pressure being relatively low, we generally accept only one group of hunters per year per territory. Annual shooting quotas per territory depend on the numbers counted during spring and summer (hot weather can be incredibly deadly) and following ratio of 1 shot per 4 counted is our average.
Thus success will be there!

Starting at €1500 (depending on number of days, number of hunters and shooting quotas)
Your trip
Our trips are “A la Carte” depending on your availabilities and your wishes.
Typical trip: 2 days – 3 nights
Day 1: Arrival on location by car or from Budapest airport. In this case, we will be waiting for you at the airport. Transfer, dinner and night at the accommodation close to the hunting grounds.
Days 2 to 3 or +: 7AM breakfast, transfer to the hunting grounds and all-day hunting with lunch break on location.
You will be walking in plains, slowly, along with local organizers and their hounds. One shooter – one organizer and one hound for two hunters allow the possibility of finishing wounded game. Some on you will be closing the formation by being placed at the end of it. The traditional “cauldron” is used during these Hungarian hare hunts.
At the end of the day, finals results. Back to the accommodation.
Last day: After breakfast, departure with personal vehicles or transfer to the airport.
Hunted Game and Trophies
Seeing hundreds of hares running in front of you daily is quite common in Hungary. Results can be quite important. You will be hunting hares exclusively, with the exception of two or three territories where you will be able to find pheasants and partridges.
Daily results of 80 to 100+ hares are more than usual!
Observers
Followers are welcome. However, with the exception of accompanying hunters and the possibility of recording those hunting moments, there are few tourist attractions in these regions. But, before or after the hunt, we do recommend you strongly to take a couple of extra days to visit Budapest, the Hungarian capital.
Your Accommodation
We will be choosing it with you personally. 4-stars hotel, private hotel for your group. All of our partnered establishments are located in proximity to the hunting grounds.
Transfers from accommodation to the hunt are included!
Full pension (except beverages) for the whole trip, including lunch taken during the hunt on hunting grounds.
Tourism
Budapest is one of the most charming cities in the world, with an incredible diversity in arts, architecture and history. If you wish to enjoy from its thermal bath houses, museums and the local nightlife, it is advised to stay between 2 or 3 days.
References
In agreement with our local partners, we organize only one hunting group per year per territory. This is in order to guarantee the best success in your hunt and also develop an environmental-friendly hunt.
Country Information
Hungary is a small country, split in two by the Danube Rive: large agricultural lands in the East, woodlands and mountainous in the West.
Budapest is really an incredible city, don’t hesitate to ask about it!
Hungary is part of the European Union but its currency is still the Hungarian Forint (HUF).
Climate is continental, dry and warm from april to october (very hot during summer!).
Firearms and Equipment
Firearm importation is quite easy in Hungary. No document is necessary except your Firearm Registration License or similar (EU Firearm Registration if European citizen).
By car, no border as part of the Schengen Area. By plane, don’t be surprised if you are not controlled if coming from another european city! However we always have firearms available on location (classic Eastern European 12 caliber).
Shells/Rounds also available.
Gear-wise, you will be walking all day. With a mostly nice weather (continental) during october and november. We recommend good shoes or boots, light clothing and possible raining coats, just in case…
To get on location
By car, 1,400km from Western Europe. Only highways except the last few kilometers.
By plane, Budapest airport (direct flights from Europe, direct flights available from North America or Asia but not always). We will be waiting for you at the airport. Followed by 2h to 3h drive to get to the hunting location.
Taxidermy
No real interest for this trip. However if you wish to come back with game meat, don’t hesitate to ask our team once on location.
