Your hunting location
The hunting area is located in the Sozopol region, along the Black Sea, 3h15 drive from Sofia.
Large hunting area of 17,000ha by the sea. The advantage is enormous compared to other territories because in cold weather, we always have 5 to 6°C more in this area: ideal for woodcocks!
Slightly hilly (maximum 300m altitude), the biotope is made up of forests of oak, thorny trees and small, denser bushes, numerous waterways criss-cross the territory. The whole area is easily accessible by 4×4 and no particular physical condition is required for this stay.
In the area, you will see many woodcocks, but also some totally wild hares and pheasants.

Game hunted & Trophies
Woodcock is the game of choice. Withdrawals can be substantial during periods of high migration.
The high season is between late November and mid-February.
It is always difficult to make an average of surveys and samples, but be aware that if it is cold or there is snow in the North-Balkan, woodcocks will be numerous in the area! Lifts: 10-12 per day, collection per hunter 5-6! (on average for years).
You will also make pheasants, totally wild and you can meet wild boars!
Companions
Accompanying persons are welcome. They can accompany the hunters. They can also, if they wish, visit the region and the Bulgarian coast. To be discussed and specified with your interpreter.
Your Accommodation
Hunting Pleasure has selected several accommodations in agreement with its Bulgarian service provider. They are all close to the hunting area to avoid long morning and evening trips (15 to 20 minutes drive).
They are generally small, comfortable hotels with all services. You will be accommodated in a double or single room according to your wishes. Full board, excluding drinks. Typical Bulgarian meal, hearty and quality.
Within each accommodation, a specific room will be available for your dogs (prohibited in rooms in Bulgaria).
Tourism
This trip takes place in the Sozopol region. Sozopol, 33 km south of Bourgas, is built on a rocky peninsula. The village features a maze of winding cobbled streets, wooden houses with balconies overlooking the sea and a tiny fishing port. The pretty town of Sozopol comes to life in the summer, to the rhythm of small restaurants offering fresh fish.
If you have time, don’t hesitate to visit Nessebar as well. Located 20 km from Bourgas, this city is classified in the list of world artistic heritage by Unesco. “The city of 40 churches” is a large village sitting on a rocky peninsula. You get lost as you stroll through the alleys, between the courtyards planted with fig trees, the houses with wooden galleries.
