Wild Boar Driven Hunt In Romania

Your Hunting Area

The majority of our Romanian trips take place in the Western side of the country, among territories close to the Hungarian border, within the Carpath.

With small hills, terrain can be quite dense and our trackers courageaous, but this environment ensures a perfect wild boar presence as well as density.

Our territories have a small hunting pressure: 2 groups per season for 24.000 acres!

3 big sessions are organized each day with shooting positions far away from each other (200m+).

Your Trip

You decided on the number of days for your trip. From 2 to 5 days even if the average is a 3 days – 4 nights trip. All of our driven hunt trips are ‘’A la Carte’’.

There is no better time… However starting mid-december, it is constantly snowing.

Typical day: Quick breakfast at 7am – Last Q&A, warnings and informations before hunting – Non-stop hunting, 3 sessions during the day with only a lunch break on location. Daily results at night. Nice and friendly dinner after a long hunt.

Hunted game and Trophies

In driven hunt, Romanian Law only allows shooting down wild boars. No other game can be shot down, with the exception of foxes, jackals and other small animals.

On some territories, you might even observe wild wolves and bears!

Observers

Observers will be able to accompany hunters but also enjoy from their accommodation services.

Tourism

During your trip, you will be hunting from sunrise until dawn. As a consequence, tourism can be quite difficult.

Your Accommodation

Your accommodation will depend on the chosen territory. Be assured that we carefully select every one of our partners in order to bring you satisfaction and rest during your trip.

Some territories do have hunting lodges directly on location. If not, we have partnerships with hotels located close to the territory.

All of our trips are in full pension. Every transportation between your accommodation and hunting grounds are taken care of and included within the organization cost.

References

It is always difficult to talk about final results and references for a wild boar driven hunt… In Romania, one boar per day per hunter is the decent average… but remember, those are big trophy animals!

Country’s information

Romania is known for the quality of its trophies: Bears, Boars, Stags…

The coutnry is aprt of the European Union for about a decade, however it does not belong to the Schengen Area. You will have to bring your passport and an ‘’invitation letter’’ (which we will provide and give you) in order to cross the border and import your firearm.

Nature is still wild and the mountain range breathtaking.

The local currency is the Lei.

Firearms and Equipments

Firearm importation is relatively easy in Romania.

We will take care of all administration processes. We will only need copies of your passport or government issued ID, hunting license, insurance and firearm registration license (if you take your firearm with you, which we do recommend).

At the border (non Schengen area), you will have to carry a valid passport as well as present the invitation letter (which we will give you) to import your rifle (60 rounds max).

Climate is continental. During winter, temperates are easily negative especially end-december and january. A driven hunt in the snow is something unforgetable…

To get on location

By plane, the closest airport is Timisoara. At the airport, you can either rent a car or we will be waiting for you with a mini-bus (additional fee).

By car, you can directly go to your accommodation. Only highway, except the last few kilometers.

Taxidermy

Trophies 1st preparation is included in our price.

For specific demands we can provide you with local taxidermist informations or you can take with you your trophies if you prefer your own taxidermist.
